The Villages is not laid out like an ordinary city and it cannot be worked like one. It reaches across three counties with its own network of cart paths, bridges and tunnels linking villages that each carry their own name, entrance and recreation center. We build the schedule village by village and confirm access ahead of the visit, because a crew guessing at entrances here will spend the morning driving in circles instead of cleaning.
The housing is consistent enough to quote reliably, mostly single story with a screened lanai, sliders across the rear and a modest set of windows at the front. What varies is what surrounds it. A home backing a golf course or a preserve carries a different load from one on an interior street. The town squares are a separate business again, restaurants, shops and venues whose glass gets done before the squares open rather than during the evening.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

The Villages is still building southward, and that is the local variable most people underestimate. Sections under construction sit directly alongside finished ones, and the exposed sand and lime rock on those sites travels on any dry breeze into the streets next door. It settles as a pale film, and it is gritty enough that wiping a dry pane is a poor idea.
The other constant is the lanai. Nearly every home here has a screened enclosure, and everything the screen catches, pollen, dust and lovebug residue, eventually rinses down onto the glass behind it. Cleaning the pane and skipping the cage means the result holds for weeks instead of months, so we do both together along with the slider track, which collects the same sand.
Yes, and we usually recommend doing the enclosure with the glass rather than separately. The screen catches sand, pollen and insect residue, and every rain then carries some of it down onto the sliders and windows behind. Cleaning one and leaving the other means the result fades quickly. We work the cage panel by panel with low pressure, since older screen mesh tears more easily than most people expect.
We schedule by village rather than by address order. Because the community spreads across three counties with its own path and tunnel network, crossing it several times in a day wastes hours that end up in somebody's bill. When you call, give us your village name along with the street and we will place you on the day we are already working that area. Neighbors booking together on the same morning is welcome and usually cheaper.
Ongoing construction is the usual source. New sections keep opening along the southern edge, and exposed sand and lime rock from those sites travels on a dry breeze into finished neighborhoods nearby. It settles as a pale, gritty film that is easy to miss until the sun hits the pane sideways. Homes closest to active building work need a shorter interval, and they should never be wiped dry, since that grit will mark the glass.
