Properties against the hillside, or on a street that catches the pass wind head on, generally do better with three visits, timed so one lands after the windy stretch in autumn. A smoke event outside that rhythm is worth its own cleanup rather than waiting, because ash left sitting through a rain leaves streaked deposits that are harder to remove later.
