San Jose is large enough that the drive between two jobs can take longer than either one, so a day here gets built around geography before anything else. Willow Glen and Naglee Park are the older neighborhoods, full of 1920s and 1930s bungalows with wood sash, deep porches and mature street trees pressing close to the walls. Downtown and Japantown add small commercial storefront alongside a handful of taller buildings.
Almaden, Evergreen and the streets climbing the eastern foothills are newer and larger, two story homes on sloped lots with tall entry glass and rear elevations facing back across the valley. At the north end toward Alviso the land flattens to the bay edge with industrial and technology buildings. Grouping several jobs into one district is not a preference here, it is the only way a route makes any sense.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

South bay water is genuinely hard, and it is the first thing homeowners point at. Overspray from irrigation leaves mineral deposits that set within days in the dry summer air, and once they have been through a couple of seasons they stop lifting with anything gentle.
The foothill neighborhoods add dry grassland dust that blows downslope through the long summer and lands on whichever elevations face the hills, while the older tree lined streets contribute pollen and sap. Three different problems, often on the same house. We treat mineral scale as its own step, flood before contact wherever dust is heavy, and give sap the dwell time it actually needs rather than forcing it.
Recent spotting lifts well with a mineral treatment. The water here is hard enough that a sprinkler head clipping a window daily leaves visible deposits inside a few weeks, and dry summer air sets them within minutes of contact. Deposits that have been baking for several seasons can etch the glass itself, which nothing reverses. We test a small area, show you the result, and give you a straight answer either way.
Yes. Homes on the eastern and southern slopes tend to have tall entry glass at the front and wide panels at the back facing the valley, often on lots where the ground falls away behind the house. Crews work from stable ground with water fed poles where the reach allows and use levelers where a ladder is required. Those hill facing elevations also collect the most grassland dust in summer.
We prefer it, and in a city this large it genuinely affects the quote. Travel time between districts here can exceed the cleaning time itself, so grouping neighbors or nearby properties into one morning keeps costs down for everyone. If you want to organize a few homes on your street, one person can coordinate the date and each household still gets its own walkthrough and its own invoice.
