Pollen season work includes screens as a matter of course, because the mesh holds far more than the glass does and reloads the pane at the first breeze. Damp set film gets detergent and agitation rather than a rinse. On older sash we clean pane by pane and dry the wood, since a frame in a river valley already carries about as much moisture as it wants.
