Prescott Valley is the newer, more open half of the picture up here, and it behaves nothing like its older neighbor. There is no Victorian core and very little mature tree cover. Instead there are wide streets, newer subdivisions and a lot of sky, which is pleasant to live with and hard on glass. The town has grown quickly, so most of the housing stock is modern with double glazing and taller entry windows.
Because it sits lower and flatter than Prescott, the working season stretches a little longer at both ends. We route Prescott Valley separately rather than lumping it in, since the drive between the two is longer than the map suggests once you factor in the traffic on Highway 69. Commercial work along the highway corridor and around the event center gets an early slot before the retail day starts.

Wind is the defining factor here. With open ground on most sides and not much in the way of established landscaping to break it up, there is very little slowing the dust down before it reaches a house. Homes on the outer edges of the newer subdivisions take the worst of it, and it lands heaviest on whichever elevation faced the last few windy days.
The dust itself is granitic and slightly abrasive, which matters for technique. On the newer, larger panes common here, dry wiping that grit is a genuinely bad idea. It needs to be lifted wet. Screens catch a large share of it and hold it, so washing them is part of the visit rather than an extra, otherwise the first gusty afternoon undoes the work.
