Port St. Lucie has two completely different street patterns laid over one another. The original city is a vast grid platted in the sixties, thousands of quarter acre lots on curving streets where houses from every decade since sit side by side and empty parcels still fill the gaps. Then there are the planned communities, built as whole villages with their own centers, consistent architecture and gated sections.
The two need different handling. Grid addresses get quoted individually because no two houses match, and we route by section since the city is far bigger than most people picture. Planned community homes quote quickly once we know the model and are usually booked as a group through a coordinator or manager. Along US 1 and Port St. Lucie Boulevard the commercial glass is retail, medical and restaurant work on a regular loop.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

Most of Port St. Lucie irrigates from wells or a shared non potable supply, and the mineral in that water is what marks glass here. It dries as a hard chalky band at exactly the sprinkler line, and on some properties there is iron behind it too, adding an orange tint below the white. Neither responds to ordinary cleaning, so both get treated and a corner is tested before anything is promised.
The Atlantic is close enough that an easterly carries a light salt haze several miles inland, more noticeable on the eastern half of the city. Summer storms streak everything downward and lovebugs mark west facing panes twice a year. Screened patios, which nearly every house here has, catch a share of all that and hand it back to the glass at the next rain.
Yes, both, though they get handled differently. Planned community homes follow a handful of builder models, so once we know yours the quote is quick and neighbors can share a visit through a coordinator. Houses on the original grid vary from street to street and get priced individually. Either way we route by area, since the city covers a lot of ground and crossing it eats time that ends up in the price.
Irrigation mineral, dried on by the sun at exactly the height your sprinkler throws. Most properties here water from a well or a non potable supply that carries dissolved mineral, and once it dries it bonds to the glass rather than sitting on it. Some homes also have iron in the water, which adds an orange tint below the white band. Both need treating, and we test a corner first in case the pane has already etched.
They generally do, because travel time is a real cost in a city this spread out. Two or three houses on the same street booked for one morning means the drive is shared rather than charged to each of you separately. Nobody has to be home for exterior work, so one neighbor can set the date and we handle each household's access and billing individually from there.
