Pasco has been building hard along its western edge for years, and the contrast between the newer streets off Road 68 and the older grid near downtown shows up immediately in the glass. New builds arrive with large vinyl windows, sliding patio doors and a bank of second story bedroom panes, often still carrying construction residue when the first owners move in. Closer to Lewis Street the houses are smaller, with older aluminum frames that want a gentler touch.
Because so much of the housing here is new, a good share of our work is the first clean a window has ever had. That takes longer than a routine visit and gets quoted that way rather than surprising anyone at the door. Commercial work runs along Court Street and out around the industrial district, mostly on standing schedules. Homes on the newer streets are grouped by development so a crew can stay in one area all morning.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

Two things load up glass in this city. Construction on the growing edge sends fine concrete and drywall dust drifting across whole blocks, and it bonds to a window far more stubbornly than ordinary soil ever does. Then there is the basin itself, dry and wide open, with farm ground and river bottom on either side feeding dust onto the wind. Rainfall here is far too light to clear any of it away.
Construction residue often needs mechanical removal, so we check whether a pane can safely take a blade before touching it, since tempered glass will scar. Everyday basin dust is flooded off first and never dry wiped. Screens on new homes are usually caked from the build and come out for a full wash, which makes a bigger difference on that first visit than most owners expect.
We do a lot of it, particularly on the newer streets west of town. A first clean after construction is a different job from routine service, because concrete dust, adhesive residue and paint flecks all have to come off before the glass can be washed normally. It takes longer and is quoted separately. Screens on new builds are usually loaded from the build too and come out for a full wash.
Sometimes, but only after checking the glass. Tempered panes can carry surface imperfections that a blade will drag into a visible scratch, and that damage cannot be undone. We test an inconspicuous area first and use chemical methods where a blade is not safe. Any window we judge too risky to scrape gets flagged for you rather than gambled with, which is the honest way to handle it.
Two to three times a year suits most homes here. There is not enough rainfall to rinse airborne dust away, so it just keeps building. Houses backing onto open ground, farm fields or an active construction phase tend to need the extra visit. Once the surrounding lots in a new development are finished and landscaped, most owners find they can settle back to a twice yearly rhythm.
