Nashville has rebuilt itself house by house over the past decade, and the shape of that sits on every other street. Tall and skinny infill homes in East Nashville, the Nations and Wedgewood Houston run three stories on a narrow lot with a shared driveway, big front windows and a rooftop deck. There is often four feet between the wall and the property line, which decides just about everything about how the work gets done.
Older stock is still there through Inglewood, Sylvan Park and the Belmont area, with 1920s bungalows, original wood sash and storm windows on some of them. Downtown and along Broadway the storefronts and rooftop bars run their own schedule and clean far more often than any house in the city does. Short term rentals sit in between, booking around guest turnover rather than by season, usually with only a day or two of notice to work with.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

Spring is the hard part. Tree pollen off oaks, maples and cedars covers everything for weeks, and Nashville humidity turns that yellow dust into a film that bonds to the glass rather than blowing off it. Cleaning mid season rarely holds.
Summer keeps the humidity and adds mildew to shaded frame corners, especially on north elevations under mature trees. Winter then throws road salt up onto ground floor glass along the busier streets, and it dries as a hard white haze. Infill houses carry one extra problem, since their upper floors sit above the tree line and take weather with nothing sheltering them at all, so those panes weather faster than the ground floor ones directly below.
Usually yes, though not always with a ladder. Three story infill houses often leave four feet between the wall and the fence, which is not enough to set a ladder at a safe angle, so those elevations get worked with water fed poles from the ground or from inside where the windows tilt in. Rooftop deck glass and railing panels are handled from the deck itself. Tell us the layout when booking and we plan the gear accordingly.
We do, and it is steady work in East Nashville and near downtown. Turnover windows are short, so we work from a lockbox or a keypad code and get in and out without anybody meeting us there. Most hosts book a standing schedule, monthly or every few weeks, then add a one off before a long stay or a photo shoot. Give us as much notice as you can, since weekends fill first.
Tree pollen usually tapers off by mid to late May, though grass pollen carries on into June. Cleaning glass at the height of it in March or April is mostly wasted money, because a fresh yellow layer lands within days. Most homeowners here book their main exterior clean in late May or early June, then a second in October once the leaves are down. Storefronts run year round regardless of season.
