Groundwater in this part of the county carries a heavy mineral load, and when a sprinkler or a hose throws it against glass the result is white scale, and sometimes an orange iron stain that ordinary cleaning will not shift at all.
Unpaved drives contribute the rest. Vehicles moving up a long gravel or dirt approach raise a plume that settles on whatever faces the drive, so one elevation is often far dirtier than the others. We treat mineral scale and iron staining with the appropriate remover rather than scrubbing harder, and on heavily coated panes we test in a corner and tell you honestly if the glass has already etched.
Usually, if we catch them before they bond into the surface. Iron in groundwater leaves an orange or rust colored stain that soap and pressure will not touch, and scrubbing harder only risks scratching. We use a remover formulated for iron deposits, apply it with dwell time, then rinse thoroughly and squeegee. If the stain has been baking on a sun facing pane for years, some shadow may remain, and we will show you before you commit.

We use minimal water, clean each pane individually, and keep solution away from the putty seam so it does not soften or lift. Wavy old glass gets handled gently, and we never scrape it. The work takes longer, and we quote it that way from the start.
