Marana runs long and narrow along the Santa Cruz between Tucson and Picacho, and it is still genuinely agricultural in places. Cotton and grain fields sit next to master planned neighborhoods, and Dove Mountain climbs into the Tortolitas at the north end with a completely different kind of house on it. One route can take a crew from a farmhouse to a resort adjacent property with a two story wall of glass.
Because the town is stretched out, we work Marana as a line rather than a grid, moving along Ina and Tangerine and picking up whatever is booked on the way. Commercial work near the Marana Regional Airport and the retail along Twin Peaks fits at either end of the day. If you are out toward the fields, say so at booking and we will slot you with the rest of that stretch.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

Working farmland is the biggest single factor here. Field prep and harvest put a lot of fine soil into the air, and unlike urban dust it carries organic matter that turns greasy on warm glass rather than powdery. It also finds screens first, which is why screens that never get washed keep undoing a clean.
Up in Dove Mountain the problem changes shape. Decomposed granite landscaping and wind funnelling off the Tortolitas mean sharper grit and more of it on the elevations facing the range. Combine either with Marana's hard water on the irrigation lines and you get the classic pattern: gritty upper panes and chalky lower ones, needing two different treatments.
Not usually. Marana runs long and narrow, so we work it as a line along Ina and Tangerine rather than crisscrossing, picking up whatever is booked along the way. If you are out toward the fields, say so when you book and we will slot you with the rest of that stretch instead of sending a truck for one address. Your price ends up the same as a job closer in to town.
Because it is not just dirt. Field prep and harvest put fine soil into the air along with organic matter, and on warm glass that turns greasy rather than powdery. Dragging a dry cloth across it spreads the film around instead of removing it. It has to be lifted wet with the right solution, and the screens need washing at the same time, because that is where most of it sits before it ever reaches the pane.
Yes. Dove Mountain sits against the Tortolitas, so the problem shifts from farm dust to sharp decomposed granite driven down by wind off the range. It lands heaviest on the elevations facing the mountains, and it is abrasive enough that dry wiping does slow damage over the years. The houses are taller with more glass per wall too, so the setup changes. We plan those visits separately from the work on the valley floor.
