Livermore sits at the end of the valley where the wind comes through, and that shapes the work as much as the schedule. Downtown along First Street is walkable, with restored storefronts, restaurant fronts and upper floor sash on the older buildings, all handled early before the sidewalk tables go out. The neighborhoods wrapped around it mix prewar homes with 1950s ranch, so window types change from house to house.
South and east toward Tesla Road the properties open up. Larger lots, longer driveways, tasting rooms and event spaces with wide fixed glass facing the vineyard rows, and gravel access that decides where a vehicle can park. The newer subdivisions on the north side run two story stucco with tall stairwell windows and entry panels above the door. Business parks near Las Positas Road make up most of the commercial route and get done outside working hours.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

Wind through the Altamont is the single biggest factor on Livermore glass. It pushes dry grassland and vineyard row dust across the east side of town for much of the year, and it arrives with enough force to pack grit into frame corners and screen mesh rather than leaving it loose on the pane.
Harvest adds its own load, with tractor dust hanging over the rows on still afternoons and drifting toward the nearest houses. Summer heat then bakes whatever landed. We plan exposed elevations for the calmer parts of the day, clear tracks and screens as part of the wash instead of treating them as an add on, and take the shaded sides during the hottest stretch so nothing flash dries.
It changes the order more than the date. On a windy afternoon the exposed east and south elevations will pick up fresh grit before the crew has finished the far side of the house, so those get done first thing while the air is still. Sheltered sides can wait. If a genuine dust event is running we will say so and offer to move the appointment rather than take payment for work the wind is about to undo.
Yes. Properties out along the vineyard roads tend to have wide fixed panels facing the rows, plus patio doors and tall entry glass that guests see first. We book those around tasting hours and event calendars, usually early morning midweek. Gravel drives and soft ground affect where a vehicle or ladder can be placed safely, so a quick conversation about access before the visit saves time once the crew is on site.
They are part of the job here rather than an upsell, because the wind puts as much grit into the mesh and the bottom track as it puts on the pane. Screens come out, get rinsed and go back in the opening they came from. Tracks are vacuumed and wiped so nothing washes down over freshly cleaned glass the next time it rains. Damaged mesh gets flagged rather than forced back into place.
