Fremont catches two different kinds of moisture. On the west side, marsh and bay air brings a mildly salty damp that condenses overnight and dries into a mineral haze on anything facing the water. Up against the hills on the east side it is fog instead, rolling off the ridge and sitting in the trees, keeping shaded glass wet well into the morning.
The hill side also collects dry grassland dust through the long summer, blown downslope onto whichever elevations face the ridge. So the same city produces two genuinely different jobs. We match the method to the district: a surfactant wash for the bayside mineral haze, and flooding before any contact wherever hillside grit is part of the picture.

Yes. Homes climbing toward the hill have some of the largest glass in the city, usually fixed panels aimed back across the bay that were never designed to open. We reach the exterior with water fed poles from stable ground where the grade allows and use levelers where a ladder is necessary. Those elevations also collect the most hillside dust, so they typically need more attention than the street side of the same house.
Marsh and bay air carries dissolved salt and minerals. It condenses on cold glass overnight, then the water evaporates and leaves the solids behind. Nothing looks obviously dirty, but the pane goes flat and the view loses its sharpness. Plain water does not shift it because plain water is not what created it. A surfactant wash dissolves the deposit, and a proper squeegee pass keeps it from drying back on.
