Fort Worth is roughly where the metroplex stops and the open plains begin, and a crew feels that difference in the work. The western neighborhoods and the country beyond them are open, so wind arrives with nothing to slow it, while the older districts closer in are heavily shaded and sheltered. Those two conditions ask for genuinely different approaches on what is nominally the same suburban brick house.
Character varies just as much. The Stockyards has late 1800s and early 1900s brick buildings with tall storefront glass and transoms above the doors. Around TCU and in Fairmount, craftsman bungalows have original wood sashes and deep porches. Along Camp Bowie Boulevard and through the Cultural District, there is a mix of commercial frontage and larger period homes. We book by district rather than by mileage, because the building type sets the pace of a day far more than the driving between stops does.

North Texas spring is hard on glass. Storm season brings wind driven rain that carries dust up onto elevations rain would not normally reach, and hail that tears screens and forces grit into tracks. After a storm, windows often look worse than before it, because what landed on them dried in place.
The soil is the other half. Expansive clay across this area shrinks and swells with the seasons, and rain splash off bare ground puts a dark, sticky spatter across lower panes that cakes hard as it dries. We soften and lift that rather than scraping it, wash screens separately, and flag hail damage rather than quietly refitting a torn screen.
It depends how much the appearance matters to you in the meantime. Spring storms here can undo an exterior clean in one afternoon, so some customers do wait until things settle in late spring. Others keep a shorter cycle through the season and accept that a storm may cost them a week. What we would not recommend is leaving storm residue on the glass for months, because it hardens.
Yes, and the bungalow neighborhoods here have plenty of them. Original wood sashes, aging glazing putty and painted trim all react poorly to heavy water, so we work with less solution, clean panes individually and keep moisture away from the putty seam. Wavy old glass is never scraped. If we spot rot, cracked putty or a sash that is binding, we tell you rather than forcing it.
We do. The older commercial districts have tall single pane display glass with transoms set well above the doors, and those upper panels are usually the ones nobody has cleaned in years. We reach them with poles rather than balancing a ladder in an entrance, and we clean the frame separately so nothing runs down onto finished glass. Early morning slots keep sidewalks and parking clear.
