Everett runs from a working waterfront up a bluff, and the glass changes as you climb. Along the marina and Riverside the air stays wet and salty most of the year. On Rucker Hill and Grand Avenue the homes are early century, with tall sash and porch windows looking straight out at Port Gardner. Head east past Broadway and the housing turns into postwar ranches, then into the newer subdivisions circling Silver Lake.
Daily rhythm in this city follows shift schedules at the aerospace plant and the naval station, so plenty of homeowners want an early morning or late afternoon slot. Routes get built around that. Bluff properties take more time because ladder footing on those slopes is never quick, while the flatter Silver Lake and Holly loops move faster and let several homes fit into one afternoon.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

Port Gardner keeps a steady load of salt in the air, and a west wind carries it onto the front of any house facing the water. It dries into a fine haze that hangs on until it is washed off properly. Farther inland the problem turns organic. Moss creeps down from the roofline onto upper windows, and a green algae film settles on shaded north walls that never fully dry through winter.
Salted glass gets a full wash rather than a hose rinse, since rinsing just spreads it thinner. On the moss side we clear the sill corners and frame channels first so the growth does not come straight back, then clean the panes and dry the edges. Screens are pulled and washed, because a screen holding salt or algae recoats a clean window within a week.
It does, and homes facing Port Gardner see it first. Salt carried inland on a west wind dries into a fine haze that dulls glass without looking like obvious dirt. Hosing it down spreads it thinner instead of removing it. A proper wash lifts the salt off the surface, and on waterfront facing homes that usually means a shorter cleaning interval than the rest of the house needs.
Yes. Plenty of our Everett customers work rotating shifts at the aerospace plant or the naval station, so early morning and late afternoon slots are part of how we build routes here. Exterior work does not require you to be home at all. If interior cleaning is included, we just need one window of access and we will work to whatever hours fit your rotation.
Screens and tracks are part of a standard clean, not an upsell. In this climate they matter more than people expect, because a screen holding salt residue or green algae will recoat a freshly washed pane within a week or two. We remove screens, wash them, clear the track channels and drainage holes of moss and grit, then reset everything before we leave.
