Clearwater is built on two levels and the difference matters more than it sounds. Downtown sits on a bluff above the harbor, so buildings along Cleveland Street and the blocks behind it look out over water from height, and the older brick stock there has upper windows that need proper access planning rather than a longer pole. Down at sea level, across the causeway, the beach is effectively a separate city.
Out there the work is resorts, restaurants and condominium buildings, and the schedule is set by tourism rather than weather. Peak season means early starts and tight windows between checkout and check in. Island Estates has canal front houses with wide water facing glass and their own access quirks. Back on the mainland, neighborhoods off Belcher and Keene Roads are ordinary suburban homes, and they balance a week that would otherwise be all hospitality.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

On the beach side salt is constant, and the wind carrying it also carries fine sand off the Gulf, which is the part that actually damages glass. That mixture sits on the surface and turns any dry wipe into an abrasive one. Every exterior job over there is flooded, lifted and finished with a pure water rinse instead.
On the mainland the story changes within a mile. Salt thins out and the recurring issues become reclaimed water minerals from irrigation, humidity in shaded frames and oak pollen in spring. Downtown buildings on the bluff catch more wind than their height suggests, so their glass dulls faster than a sheltered street level shopfront a block behind them.
Yes, and in season that is the only sensible way to do it. Give us the changeover window and we will fit exterior glass, balcony panels and entry doors into it, or work before the property wakes up. Restaurants and lobby glass usually get done first thing. For larger resorts we split the building across several early mornings rather than trying to take the whole thing in one go and getting in everyone's way.
Yes. Those houses put most of their glass on the water side, often a full wall of sliders behind a pool deck, and access along the rear can be tight between the house and the seawall. We check that before quoting rather than on the morning. Water facing glass there takes noticeably more salt than the street elevation, so some owners have the rear done more often than the front.
Different enough that we quote them separately. Across the causeway you have daily salt and fine Gulf sand, which means a shorter interval and a pure water finish. A mile inland on the mainland that fades, and the issues become reclaimed irrigation water leaving mineral marks and pollen in spring. Same city, two different problems, so a schedule that suits a beach condo would be an overspend for a house off Belcher Road.
