Casas Adobes sits on Tucson's northwest side, and the thing that defines it is the view. Almost everything here is oriented toward the Santa Catalinas, which means the north and east elevations carry the big glass and get looked through the most. That is exactly the glass people notice when it is dirty, and exactly the glass most homeowners cannot safely reach.
The building stock is a genuine mix. There are low midcentury ranch homes with wide aluminum sliders and original single pane glass, and there are newer builds stepped up the slope with tall fixed windows and clerestory runs above them. Oracle Road carries the commercial side, where the storefronts and medical offices want early morning work. We run Casas Adobes as part of a northwest route rather than driving out for one job, which keeps the pricing sensible.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

Being on the bajada, the slope running down off the Catalinas, means Casas Adobes catches everything that moves downhill on the wind. That is fine mineral grit rather than soft dust, and it sits on glass with enough bite that dry wiping does real damage over time.
Tucson area water is hard, and here it matters more than usual because so many properties run drip and spray irrigation across desert landscaping right up against the house. The overspray hits the low panes of exactly those big view windows. We treat the scale first and wash second, which is slower on the first visit and much better for the glass.
Yes, and they get a gentler approach than modern glass. The midcentury ranch homes here have wide aluminum sliders with original single pane glass, frames that flex and tracks holding decades of fine grit. We clear the tracks first, because otherwise that grit finds its way back onto the pane within days. Pressure stays off the frame and nothing abrasive goes near the glass, since older panes show scratches easily.
Because it is rock rather than soft dust. Casas Adobes sits on the bajada running down off the Catalinas, so what reaches your house has traveled downhill on the wind and it is fine mineral grit with real bite to it. Wiping that dry across a pane does slow, cumulative damage that shows up years later as a hazy surface. It has to be floated off wet, which is why no dry cloth goes near the glass.
That is fine, and it is a sensible way to spend a smaller budget. Almost everything here is oriented toward the Santa Catalinas, so the north and east elevations carry the big glass and get looked through daily, while the back of the house rarely gets a second glance. Tell us which rooms matter and we will price those. Most people who start that way add the rest on the following visit.
