Brooksville does something unusual for Florida. It goes up and down. The town sits on a ridge, so the streets around the courthouse square climb and fall, driveways are pitched and ladder footing gets checked rather than assumed. The houses that came with that terrain, the wood frame homes on and around Jefferson Street in the historic district, still wear double hung sash with divided lites and painted glazing bars. That is slow, careful work rather than a quick pass with a pole.
Away from the center the picture changes fast. Out along Cortez Boulevard and toward the county line the lots get large, the homes are newer block construction with sliders and a screened porch, and neighbors sit far enough apart that we plan the day by geography rather than by appointment slot. Rural calls get grouped together and in town work stays together, which is the only way a Hernando County route makes sense.
Amazing job. Very professional and our windows are perfectly clean. Thanks Squeegeezy!

Like peas in a pod...

Hernando County is mining country and it shows on glass. Limerock and sand operations around Brooksville keep trucks on the roads all week, and the pale dust they carry settles on anything within reach of a haul route. Add the red clay in the local soil, which stains rather than rinses, and windows near an unpaved drive take on a color that ordinary cleaning will not shift.
Most properties out here also irrigate from a private well. That water is hard and frequently carries iron, so you get a chalky mineral line and orange staining below it on the same pane. Those need separate treatments, since no single product handles both, and we rinse the frame afterward so nothing runs back down later.
Yes. The wood frame homes near the courthouse square and along Jefferson Street mostly have double hung sash with divided lites, and each small pane has to be done individually around a painted glazing bar. We keep water off soft or peeling putty, work by hand instead of using a pole, and let you know if a glazing bead looks like it is failing. It takes longer than a modern slider and we quote it that way from the start.
Hernando County has active limerock and sand operations, and the trucks serving them keep a fine pale dust in the air along the haul routes. If you live near one of those roads or on an unpaved drive, your glass picks it up within days. Local red clay makes it worse, because clay stains a surface instead of just resting on it. Homes in those spots usually need a shorter interval between cleans than the town average.
We do, out toward Cortez Boulevard, the state forest edge and the acreage properties along the county line. Because those addresses can be several miles apart, we group rural bookings onto the same day rather than treating them as separate trips, which keeps the cost sensible for everyone on that route. If you can give us a couple of date options when you call, it is easier to fit you into an existing run in your direction.
