Brooksville does something unusual for Florida. It goes up and down. The town sits on a ridge, so the streets around the courthouse square climb and fall, driveways are pitched and ladder footing gets checked rather than assumed. The houses that came with that terrain, the wood frame homes on and around Jefferson Street in the historic district, still wear double hung sash with divided lites and painted glazing bars. That is slow, careful work rather than a quick pass with a pole.
Away from the center the picture changes fast. Add the red clay in the local soil, which stains rather than rinses, and windows near an unpaved drive take on a color that ordinary cleaning will not shift.
Most properties out here also irrigate from a private well. That water is hard and frequently carries iron, so you get a chalky mineral line and orange staining below it on the same pane. Those need separate treatments, since no single product handles both, and we rinse the frame afterward so nothing runs back down later.
