Apache Junction sits at the foot of the Superstitions, and the mountains are not just scenery here, they set the conditions. The town is the gateway to the Apache Trail, which means a lot of unpaved surface nearby and a lot of traffic stirring it up. Properties on the eastern side, closest to the range, deal with more of everything than properties out toward the freeway.
Housing runs the full range. There are settled stick built neighborhoods, a large stock of manufactured homes, and a substantial number of RV and park model communities that fill up in winter and empty in summer. Each needs a different approach and a different price, and seasonal residents usually want a clean on arrival and another before they leave rather than anything ongoing. Dust is simply a bigger deal in Apache Junction than in most of the valley. Unpaved roads, open desert on the eastern edge and constant recreational traffic heading up toward the Superstitions keep coarse grit moving through the air. It is heavier than the fine dust further west, so it does not float away, it sits on the glass and in the tracks.
The second factor is wind funnelling off the mountains. When it picks up, it drives that grit against the east facing elevations hard enough to work it into frames and seals. Screens take the brunt, which is why washing them is part of the job here rather than an upsell. Skip them and the first windy afternoon puts everything straight back on the glass.
That is a common arrangement in Apache Junction. Plenty of residents are only in town for the cooler months, so we do one clean shortly after you arrive and another before the place gets closed up for the summer. It fits better than an ongoing schedule you are not around for. Give us your dates when you book and we will hold both visits, then confirm the second one closer to the time.

Awning windows and sliders take a little more care because of the number of edges and tracks holding grit. We will quote your actual setup rather than applying a standard house rate to something that is nothing like a standard house.

The eastern side of town sits closest to open desert and the unpaved routes running up toward the range, and the grit stirred up there is coarse enough to sit on the glass rather than blow off again. Two visits a year keeps most homes looking right, and three is not unreasonable on the mountain side. Properties over toward the freeway generally stretch longer between cleans.
